Daniel H. Cohan
DANIEL H. COHAN was born in New Haven, Connecticut. Mr. Cohan attended Lynchburg College in Virginia where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology in 1985. Mr. Cohan earned his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in 1988. While attending law school, Mr. Cohan was a member of the Syracuse Law Review, participated in the Syracuse University Law Clinic representing indigent criminal defendants, and interned at the District Attorney’s Office.
Mr. Cohan began his legal career in private practice where he provided legal services to businesses and individuals in the areas of personal injury, commercial litigation, worker’s compensation, bankruptcy, family, landlord/tenant, and criminal defense. Mr. Cohan also served as a prosecutor for twenty years in Virginia, California, and on the island of Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands. He spent the majority of that time handling sexual assault, child molest, domestic violence, and financial crimes cases.
In addition to being a member of the Florida Bar, Mr. Cohan is admitted in Massachusetts, Connecticut, North Carolina, Virginia, California, and Hawaii.
